Happy Halloween

**Warning, this post is picture heavy**

We went to the new neighborhood to trick or treat tonight and of course see the house. Here is a quick recap of what has changed since the last post.

They poured the concrete floors of the garages and the concrete floor of the front porch. Most of the windows are installed. The cable has been run and the materials for drywall have been delivered and are waiting in the house.

Eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and chipotle before trick or treating.

HVAC, plumbing and electrical

We went by the house this morning so Jeff could take some pictures and measurements of where the studs and electrical work are located. He wants to know this info so once the drywall goes in he knows where the important stuff is behind the walls.

The kids ran around the house like maniacs. It is hard to believe that in a few months they will be running around the house after we have moved into it.

Ava got to see her neighbor friends, Kenzie and Erin and she had a blast just running back and forth on the sidewalk with them.

I walked through a couple of other houses in various stages of completion and it was so fun to see how quickly the inside of the houses start taking shape.

Super excited to visit the house

we couldn't figure out what this T contraption was hanging from the ceiling. There were several of them hanging in the upstairs rooms.....

Little changes

There's not much to show lately with the house. All the items being worked on are things like plumbing, hvac and electrical. There won't be much to blog about until the windows go in and dry wall starts going up. I'll be sure to update the blog as soon as there is some visible change.

Here is a picture of the house with the roof shingles on. Makes it look a little bit more "done."

Raise the roof

The roof is on. Still needs shingles though. We took the kids through this morning. Ava asked what each room would be and wanted to know when she was going to get to paint the house.
We love it! It looks like our house.

Framing Continued. Attic Trusses, and roof parts

I drove by the house after dropping Ava off at school. They have the attic trusses up and parts of the roof and the roof done on Jeff's garage and the front porch. I am hoping when I go by tomorrow that the plywood is done on the roof and all that will be left are the shingles. Some windows still need to be cut out, and the door in the back of Jeff's garage leading to the backyard needs to be cut out as of this morning.

Framing Frenzy

The kids and I met Jeff at the new neighborhood after work tonight for a pizza picnic and to walk through the house now that it is framed.

The kids loved being able to walk around while eating pizza and not having to worry about making a mess. There were a lot of "pepperoni down's."

We got to meet several new neighbors tonight. We met a family with five kids who live just up the street. They have a daughter Ava's age and a son Reid's age. We also met another neighbor who has a son Reid's age just up the street too. Ava and Reid ran around our cul de sac with three of the five kids and were fast friends. It is great how many young families are in our section of the neighborhood.

Not all of the windows have been cut out yet.

While we waited for the framing crew to finish up for the day, (I like that they were working so late to catch up!) we climbed a big dirt hill. Over and over and over.

standing in garage.

Opening on the left will be two large glass french doors. Opening on the right will be three windows above the kitchen sink.

Upstairs

View from one of the front windows. Feels very high. You can barely see Ava on Jeff's back and Reid in the next door driveway.
