Framing,...Finally

I swung by the lot early this morning to find this!

I used the panoramic function on my iphone, but it doesn't seem to work super great. This looks very skewed.
Framing has started.

I met Fred whose crews do the framing and he said that Felix and his crew should be on our lot to start vertical framing this morning. I was excited to see the subfloor in. Fred said he hopes to have the house framed with roof in place by Wednesday. He said the crew today would work till 1 pm and be off tomorrow.

I got so excited that I ran to Dunkin donuts and got our framing crew donuts and coffee.

I was also able to go through our neighbors house to the left of us on the corner lot. Luckily they only have two windows on our side of their house. That helps with privacy. Here is a picture of their house framed with roof on. I haven't met them yet. Excited to meet them.

We are waiting for an RFP (request for pricing) on some additional tree clearing by the builder so that when they clear the septic field in the back yard we will have a nice big rectangle yard.

These are some great tulip poplars that are at the back edge of our property that we want to save.
I also had a private tree guy come out and give me a quote on removing the sweet gums, pine trees and dead trees from our side yards after we move in.

No matter what is going on with the house, the kids are most interested in a pile of dirt/sand in the road. Figures.
On another front we are getting the house on the market this weekend. Our realtor took the pictures for the MLS and virtual tour yesterday and she is coming by today to put the lockbox on the door and the for sale sign in the yard. I think the MLS will go live on Monday.
